Re: KSB escape attempts??
Snakes escape if there is a way to escape. My anery KSB was named Houdini b/c no matter how hard we tried, she escaped the tub she was in all the time. I finally had to move her to an aquarium with an escape proof lid.

he's doing what snakes do............he doesn't know any better, you have to keep him from escaping, if you know how he's getting out, your half way there!

Re: KSB escape attempts??
Is his substrate deep enough that he can burrow all the way and feel secure? Sometimes they try to escape more when they're hungry too.. is it close to feeding day?

Re: KSB escape attempts??
Yes, for a KSB, the substrate needs to be at least as deep as twice the snake's height so he can feel a little weight above him to help him feel secure. Also, what kind of lid and clips do you have?
Good luck!
