breeding ratio male to females

i have been getting my breeding colony of balls ready for breeding this coming season. i have 2 large males with 4 large females that i would like to breed. should i set it up 1 male with 2 females or all 6 in a large cage all of these snakes range from
3 1/2 ft -4ft with 2 female and 1male being a little over 4ft. all of them are eating medium rats they won't take larger.

1 male with 1 female at a time. That way you know what male bred what female. You have 2 males 4 females Id breed 1 male to two females. The other male to the other two females. That way if you are keeping all the babies for breeders. They will not be all from the same male. Keep them together for a few days check them every so often see if there locked up or not. Then take him out give them a few days rest try feeding if they eat 2 more days rest. Them move him on to the next female. Just keep doing that. Make sure your setup to incubate the eggs and all that. Theres nothing like getting a few clutches of eggs and not being ready for them kind of sucks. Also make sure your females are heavy enough. If not its not good to breed them. If you dont have a good digital scale get one. Weigh them all. Make sure females are 1500g and male 800g or more. I wont breed unless my females are 2000g and males are 800g or more. Thats just what i do some breed smaller and it works fine for them. If you are thinking about breeding them get a few books check around on here tons of great advice. Make sure its something you can handle. Care of the eggs and any babies that hatch.

I think i forgot to add this. If the males are up to size I breed 1 male to up to 5 females. Depends on how many females im breeding that year.

Recently I've heard of some breeders that put a male in with a few females and leave them be for several weeks. Anyone have better luck with that method?

my larger ball i have had for awhile now last time i weighed them the male was 1500 grams, 1 female was 1900g, and the other was 2300g. i just aquired the other 3 this month so i haven't weighed the yet. i'll get them weighed monday. if the male is bigger then the female will they still breed
