Finally! New pictures of Carmen the BCC!

Since I didn't get around to feeding the snakelettes yesterday and I happened to remember I needed to get new pictures, here ya go!

Carmen on a hibiscus (don't ask how long it took to extract her from said hibiscus):

    A few in the sun:

    Such a pretty face!

And just for size comparison; this is the same snake who 15 months weighed 120g. She now weighs nearly 5lbs! (Excuse my Sunday hair =P)

1.0 sunglow motley corn (Jenson), 1.0 albino burmese (Lourdes)
1.0 cat (Nicky), some mooses and ratters, 1.0 hubby (Rick)

What a big beautiful girl Cassandra... I think the last pics I saw of her, she was all tangled up in your fingers My Lord, she sure is growing fast.

Thanks, as always, for the pics!

Thanks guys! She's not fat either...just growing like a weed, even for a BCC...well, a fast weed over 15 months, hehe...

And still, to show that every boa is different, LOVES her hides. Next problem will finding a larger set when she reeeeally can't stuff herself into her current ones, hehe!

She doesn't look fat at all... just fit and tone and every inch the predator. With a sweet face

I need to get a BCC in the collection somewhere.

Cereal boxes make good hides for big boas if you want something cheap and disposable... Or kitty litter boxes are great, too.

She'd rip apart a cardboard box before you could blink...that and she has a bad habit of peeing in her hide...mmmm, marinating.

I need something heavy she can really flex against that's hopefully washable...

I know I've heard of people that use litter boxes... I think April uses plastic litter boxes for her big boas. I've never used them myself, so not really sure how you'd put the hole in them... could you use a soldering iron and just circle it to expand the hole?

Definitely something to think about...but you know me, I do wish I could find something that has a natural look to it. If I can't find anything natural looking, I will give the kitty litter box thing a try.

She still squeezes in her current hides okay, but I know she won't in a month or three...sometimes, I think she gives up and just leaves her tail hanging out, the lazy bum.

LOL... aw! Kinky's new nickname is big butt... I just love that big, round red tail. Everytime she tries to hide under the couch it always gets stuck hanging out
