Question Is this enclosure too big?

Ive been thinking of getting an animal plastics enclosure, possibly the t10 which is a 48w x 24d x 15h cage with sliding doors. Is this too big for a ball python? the snake for which im gettin the cage is a little over 3 ft long.

Re: Is this enclosure too big?

I have my 4 ft female in a glass retile tank with front sliding doors and screen top.

It measures at 36"x18"x15". She seems to like it just fine. She's in a hide most of the time anyway.

It should be fine so long as you have some good hides for the snake. You don't need a cage that big certainly, but for a subadult BP I don't think it'll be any problem.

Put enough stuff in there and I dont see how anything could be too big. As long as the snake feels secure then what's the problem, y'know?
