Light at the end of the tunnel

I am finally starting to see light at the end of a very dark tunnel. The past few months, I have been unemployeed due to health issues. I could no longer hold down the office job or keep regular hours and it forced me to re-evaluate many many things in my life. Not only have I been dealing with these health issues and no income, for the past two years, I have been going thru a divorce. Finally in July, that was final.
The past two months have been the worst and if it was not for my child or my S.O., I am not sure I would have made it thru. I was almost at the point of having to make a decision to rehome all my animals so I could just keep a roof over my head. At this point, I am considered unhireable by most company standards, yet I cannot qualify for any disability. So... I had almost nothing left to lose and everything to gain by starting my own company where I can control my hours.
Tonight I had my first inital client consult and I GOT IT!! I have several more scheduled as well. I just pray that things have finally turned around.

Thanks everyone. I started a pet sitting service. I have always wanted to work with animals (besides my own)

That sounds pretty neat Sometimes it takes a drastic event to enable you to start a business. With my husband, it was getting laid-off from his work.. he then started his own business and ran circles around his former income.
It really bites IMO when good people that have worked for years do not qualify for disability when illnesses strike.
I wish you alot of good fortune!
