Re: Is it hard to find buyers?

i bred a group of 1.3 SHTCT leos 2 seasons ago and had no problems selling the offspring at all. last season i decided not to breed them again but to focus on cresteds and i sold all but one of the breeders and all of the holdbacks also with no problem. i sold all of them via my web site and online herp classifieds like kingsnake and fauna.

Re: Is it hard to find buyers?

Because as you saw in a previous thread, I was thinking of getting another leopard gecko. I was also thinking of breeding later down the road, and I was wondering if it was hard to find homes for the offspring.

A few more questions if I'm not being to annoying. I ask a lot of questions. lol.

At what size do you breed females? Males?

Are there ever any aggression issues males and females during breeding?

    Is there a breeding season?

Where can I go to learn about leopard gecko genetics? I have a hypo tangerine but I have no clue about lg genetics.

Re: Is it hard to find buyers?

females should be at least 65 grams and over one year old before they are bred. they should have nice fat tails and fat pockets in their armpit areas before being bred so their bodies can sustain each clutch of eggs. males don't have to be quite as large or as old, but should be close in size to the female to avoid aggression. as long as they are close in size there normally isn't an issue with aggression but you will want to supervise the introduction and keep an eye on them for the first 24-48 hours. occasionally a male will be overly aggressive during this time. the normal breeding season for leos begins in february to early spring. here is a good guide to leo morphs: http://www.leopardgeckowiki.com/wiki...ategory:Morphs.
