    The twins had twin litters!

    Remember these cuties?

Well, they're all grown up and both had their first litters within one day of each other, and both had nine babies! Sadly, Yin (the one with the eye patch on her right eye) I think accidentally laid on one and smothered it, so she has eight healthy babies.

Both mommas are very attentive to their litters, they both curl up on their sides around their litters, with their noses touching their tails, keeping their babies safe and warm.

I'll try to get some pictures when the babies look like more than just jelly beans!

Awwww the mirror twins have their first litters. Can't wait to see the pics once they have their coats coming in a bit. With dad being a Black/White Hooded you might get some pretty markings out of these ones.

    Robin,
I don't know if I posted in your thread when you introduced the twins, but they are some of the most ADORABLE rats that I have ever seen!!!

I can't wait til you post pics of their babies also!! It is rather interesting that they had their litters at almost the same time and identical numbers. Congratulations!!

Re: The twins had twin litters!

I like calling them the twins! LOL

The first two pictures of them were when they were still part of Emily's collection, and "almost" became feeders until she posted up their pictures. I immediately PM'd her to see if either were females, and it turned out both were, so I got to pick them up in Daytona!

Emily did a wonderful job with these two - working with them from babies to adults with handling them, and I'm sure that's contributed to their wonderful natures. Neither one of them minded me lifting them off their litters to do head counts, and immediately went back to doing their "momma" thing when I was done. Sweet girls! Thanks again, Emily!
