How big??

I have wanted an tree python for as long as I can remember. can someone enlighten me on their temperment and size? How big do these beauties get? are they easy to handle? Thanks

They are mainly a look, but don't touch species. They really can't be handled as neonates because of how fragile they are. Their spines can easily become twisted and kinked. This is why none are sexed(or supposed to be sexed) until around a year old or more.

They do stress easily and their husbandry needs to be kept very stable. You can handle them every so often, but they aren't a Ball Python or common boa. It's good practice to get a hook and use that to get them out of their enclosure, as well as have removable perches. Small enclosures, such as tubs, work well for neonates and adults alike.

You definitely need a custom enclosure, not an aquarium. Boaphile, Animal Plastics, HerpEnclosures, RBI Plastics, etc all work well for housing GTPs and other arboreals. Heat Panels work very well to maintain a heat gradient. You can find those at www.pro-products.com and a few other places. Definitely needa good digital thermostat to control those temps.

That's about all I can think of right now. They are more of an intermediate/advanced snake.
