I've had Shure E2C headphones for about a year. They're GREAT sound quality and the only in-ear headphones I've found that don't fall out of my ears when I use them at the gym (and they're sound-isolating, so they block out all the gym noise).
I started having issues with the coating on the headphone wire cracking and exposing the wires. I solved the issue with electrical tape--not wanting to deal with the hassle of sending it in for repair (plus I had no receipt). This problem escalated at the start of the month, when a wire finally severed at a new separation and I decided to call their customer service. The woman said that if I sent it in without a receipt, they would check the manufacture date on the headphones and if it was manufactured within the 2-year warranty time, the headphones would get replaced.
I sent out the headphones via UPS, it got delivered on the 19th. I called today to check the status and was told that they replaced my headphones with brand-new ones (no charge!) and had already shipped them back to me. The guy with customer service gave me a tracking number and I just found out the package is delivered as of today!
I'm so excited to go and pick them up (I've missed my headphones) and I just wanted to give kudos to Shure for giving me awesome customer service, QUICK turn-around time for the new headphones and for standing behind their product by replacing mine with new, even without a receipt. They'll be getting repeat business from me for years to come, and I just had to share with someone!
If you're in the market for nice headphones, I'll be the first to recommend ShureDid I just sound like an AD? I'm sorry if I did--I'm just really excited to have working headphones again! They're pricey little earbuds and it's awesome that a year after I bought them, without a receipt, that SHURE was willing to replace them anyway
