    question

I've had my BP for just over a year now, is 413 grams and 2.5feet, but not until recently have I noticed his scales on the belly are like peeling off.

No, its not the actual scales coming off, its like every scale is shedding individually. It started doing this right after his last shed (it was complete, very few scales weren't shed) and up until now, a month and so later. They're pretty much half on, and just bits of the cornerss are up. Most of the flaking is happening in the first half of the body.

I wish I could get pics, but all of them I've taken you can't see it because the flakes are so clear and little.

Temps are perfect, 80* and 90* and humidty at 55%, keeping him in a 20Long, 2 hides, and a UTH Ceramic Heater.

Any know if this is something to be concerned about? I don't want anything to happen to him I hope this makes sense.

    Re: question

    Hi,

Did you use oil to help him with his last shed or anything like that?

When they come off is the scale thats left normal looking or is it discoloured a little or anything?

I take it there is a gaurd around the ceramic heater to avoid him coming into contact with it?

Would putting him against a black background side on make it any easier to get pics?

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Re: question

No, I have never used an oil on him, he's only had one bad shed since I had him, and that was his first.

When they come off the scale looks normal, no discoloration or anything.

No, he cannot get near the heater.

I will try to get a pic with the black background.
