    More pics of my normal

I was doing laundry out in the living room today and she decided she'd like to help. That is, keep look-out for any strange intruders while I folded my *ahem* unmentionables. -lol-

They got distorted a tad on upload:

And, because he's so cute, here's my Rufio:

I don't know if it's the distortion or the fact my eyes are getting tired, but is it me or does it look like retained eyecaps?

Although I do have to agree with Jason, I love the periscoping pic. HOT!

    Hi,

Nah it does look like a retained eyecap.

    It's mentioned in this thread.

He has some amazing flames in these pics.

Just a suggestion, you may want to try one of the techniques for removing the eyecap ... wet pillowcase or soaking.

I can really like the color on that baby.

Rufio is adorable too! How long have you had him?

Rufio is a cutie! I like to put some non fragrence hand lotion on the reatined eyecaps and a nice humid hide with damp moss in the enclosure and then a good long soak. Great pics!

Re: More pics of my normal

About the eye cap, I HAVE soaked her and seriously upped the humidity for several days but it hasnt helped. She's not skittish or anything around that side of her face so I dont think she cares and I just decided to wait until her next shed. If it becomes a problem I can try more drastic removal methods - Q.tips and whatnot, but otherwise I'll let her alone.

She constantly periscopes. She's like a little puppy with its ears perked up. -lol- I have one where practically half her body is up in the air. And she's yawning no less. I call it her cobra impersonation.

I have had Rufio for a little over a year. Yes, he's a red belly poicephalous. (poicephalus? ...whatever) He's such a brat too. The bird store where I work refuses to carry them because they say that attitude is characteristic of the species. I've only met 2 other RBs in my life and it was true for them. -lol- He's a handful but he loves me so we get along great. As a matter of fact, we're going to go take a shower together. -lol-
