2 of my BPs were holding out for about a month on eating and I wanted to wait till they would take rats. Well I gave up and got em some mice. Within 5 minutes both had grabbed their mice.
Just wanted to share that trying different prey worked for me

Sounds like you were holding out in the hopes of getting em converted to rats? or FT rats?

i have 4 bp's and my male spider is the most reluctant to switch to FT rats. I tried holding out on him but it was no good. a good trick I have found is this: scent the rat as well as letting the BP see a mouse move around. I've noticed my spider male is more aroused by movement than anything else. Once he sees that mouse he'll strike at the FT rat if I put it in front of his face.

Well I hate mice so I was reluctant to give em any. When rats failed for this time I decided to give in and get some weight on em. If I'm lucky, I can get them up to breeding size with the others.

Oh ya. 1 was a normal and 1 was a 50% possible het caramel glow
