Going away...what to do with snakes and monitors

I have to go to Phoenix from Vegas for about a week to finish up some stuff for a law suite I was in. I have an yr old Argus Monitor, 3 month old Black and White Tegu and a 4 month old red tail boa. I know my bfs mom will not do anything for the snake or other animals since she hates them and I have no family here. I could have a friend come check on the water and such but no one I know is experienced with reptiles so they wouldnt feed them. I know the boa can go with out eating but what about the other 2. If I have to I can take them along with me so that's not the problem but I would perfer not to since it is to much un needed stress. I am thinking of calling the guy I got them from(same store but the owner is a personal friend) and seeing if he can care for them while I'm gone but that would mean taking them over to his place where he has more then enough of his own lol.

How about the BF? Do you trust him or is he one that wont do it either?

He's going with me lol or I would have him do it. We are taking the kids with us to see my family at the same time.

Have you called any of the local vet. clinics. I know that the vet clinic that my wife works at they do boarding for all kinds of animals, you could also check the yellow pages for pet sitters (call around to find one that doesn't mind reptiles). I hope this maybe some help for you. Wish you the best of luck finding someone to take care of your critters.

Try www.petsit.com They are a prof org of petsitters, all of them have to be bonded and insured. If you were here, I would but I think it may be a bit of a drive for me, lol.

They should all be fine. Monitors can go a while without food just like snakes. Just have a friend check their water and throw them a few crickets every couple days.

Ahem, I mean, why don't you ask at various pet stores that are known for taking care of reptiles? Most of them will be willing to board for a sum per week.

for the lizards turn off their hot spots. It should slow them down enough that they'll be fine.
