Help, need advice on camera
We are wanting a camera that can do a wide range of shots, with interchangeable lenses. Perferably a digital camera.
Can someone give us some ideas and what we would expect to pay?
Thanks for your time.

Hi there, if you're looking to spend around $250 you could get a kodak z712IS... it's my latest camera and it's great, easy to use and has great picture quality so far (7.1mp and 12x zoom). I had a similar model but I lost it on a bus I had a macro lense with an adapter tube and it worked amazingly. I'm going to get a macro lens for this soon (about $40 from 47th street photo).
You could always go for a sleek tiny camera (my kodak is a bit bulky but "professional looking") or more expensive... I've always wanted a really nice canon digital SLR but I don't have thousands of dollars to throw around. Ahh.... some day.

Here's a set up i'm about to purchase.

I need a few more weeks to save up the cash, and as soon as I do get it, I'll snap some pictures and you can judge the quality yourself.

The SLR sounds like it maybe what we need. Thanks for your time.

I'm heading to work now, but I will be grateful for any and all input. Even if you think I may not be interested. I have to find the perfect camera for the job, without totally breaking the bank.
Nate, your wish list sounds pretty close.

Re: Help, need advice on camera
I have the Sony Alpha (A100)
http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...uctId=11039010
You can read the details but what sold me were a couple of things.
1. It is built on the Minolta/Konika frame so it uses all the old Minolta lenses and flash (so I spent lots of time on eBay scooping up really great deals on some stellar lenses)
2. The anti-shake (Steady Shot) is built into the camera so all lenses get the benefit (I forget but I think Canon and another have it built into the lenses so the lenses cost a lot more for this benefit)
3. I know it is not as well known as Nikon or Canon but it was the camera of the year in 2006 and got stellar reviews so I took a chance and love it.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'm going to take everyones ideas and look them over, I'm not good with cameras so I may take the best sounding ones, write them down and go start asking a million questions at the camera shop. They will hate me by the time I'm done.
