    Hypo x Pastel

For a Hypo Pastel, you would need to have both a Pastel het Hypo and a Normal het hypo (carrier of the hypo gene, but not visual) to produce one.

That means that if you have a Hypo and a Pastel, you would have to breed them together to create Pastels and normals all het Hypo.

THEN!! Take the filial generation (babies), grow them up, and breed them (A pastel baby and a normal baby both het Hypo) together to create your Hypo Pastel.

Punnet squares for that would need Capital and lower case letters to draw it out.
How would this be drawed out on a Punnet Square? If I breed a Pastel to a Hypo and wanted to get a Hypo Pastel?

    Thanks Richard

    Re: Hypo x Pastel

If you have an male hypo and a female pastel and breed them together, you will produce a clutch with half of the offsprings being pastel het hypo and the other half being het hypo (off course those are odds)

Keep all the pastel het hypo females from the clutch, raise them up and breed them to your male hypo.

    Re: Hypo x Pastel

I believe this is how a pastel het hypo x normal het hypo would go
    -Kasi- 'Marsupial Mom' in training!
    0.1 Normal BP ~Isis~
    1.0 Graziani Pastel ~Apollo~
    0.1 Spider ~Savannah~
    1.0 Albino ~Ra~
    1.1 Lesser Platinum's ~Osiris~ ~Cleopatra~
    2.4 PastelXNormal babies
    0.1 RTB het Anery ~Camila~
    1.1 Bennet's wallabies ~ Boomer~~Bella~
    2.1 Red Kangaroo's ~Rocky, Jack, and Ruby~

    Re: Hypo x Pastel

So the fist step would be to breed the Hypo to the Pastel? How would the Punnet Square look like for this?

I want to thank whoever draws this out in advance because I am just trying to learn this. This is going to be one of the projects that I will be aiming for.

    Thanks Richard

    Re: Hypo x Pastel

Ok Hypo x Pastel on Punnet Square would be

    h h
    N Nh Nh
    p ph ph

    Nh Normal het Hypo 50%
    ph Pastel het Hypo 50%

    Does this look right?

    Thanks Richard
