Ball Pythons get herpes?? that's something new

But no, seriously, any 'herp' can get a burn if the proper temps are not maintained. BP's can get a burn just as easily as any other snake/lizard/gecko what have you..

    Re: Ball Python Burns

i would say snakes in general are more susceptible to burns from under tank heaters, just because they have alot more surface area that can touch the heat source. most other herps you don't use UTHs, so they are less likely to get burned. unless you so something stupid like have a heat rock or a heat lamp in the tank.

LOL... That is very funny! I almost fell outta my chair!

anyway, I dont think they are more susceptible but you might hear about it more because they are a more popular reptile to own??
or they actually could be because they usually are on the ground close to the UTH's and heat rocks (never use heat rocks!!!!!!), and that might be why they get more burns then any other reptile.
Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

Why is it called 'after dark' when it really is 'after light'?
