Question to any cornone who breed cornsnake
I have a group of corn that I keep as a pet. I never want to breed them, but it's been months since I really want to breed leopard geckos and Ball Python.
My friend offer to buy a whole lot of my corns, but should I keep them and try to bred them as well?
Here's the list of my cornsnake. All of the striped animals are 100% perfect striped.
1.1 Sunglow Stripe (male '07 female '06)
1.0 Butter Stripe '07
1.0 Lavender Stripe '07
0.1 Hypo Lavender Stripe '06
0.1 Caramel Stripe '06
0.1 Anery Stripe '06
0.1 Snow Stripe '06
1.0 Dilute Pastel Motley '07
1.0 Dilute Anery Motley '07
1.0 Bloodred '06
0.1 Albino Bloodred '06
0.1 Rosy Bloodred '06
1.1 Pewter '07
What's the best age of male and female when I can breed them?
And what should I cross with each others?
thanks

Re: Question to any cornone who breed cornsnake
The general rule is that you should breed any corn untill they are 3 years old and 300 grams in weight.
So you're going to have to wait years for all of those animals, but I think it would be a waste of your time money and effort to just sell them to someone else.
0.1 Charcoal Corn, Nagini||0.0.1 King Intergrade, Ekans|| 1.0 Leopard Gecko, Havok||1.0 Pastel Mot Corn, Solstice
1.1 birds,1.1 Bettas, 0.0.5 Community fish and Inverts,1.0 Rat, 1.1 Hamster.

Re: Question to any cornone who breed cornsnake
That would make a nice breeding group in a few years especially if you like stripes. I would hang onto them if it were me. Corns were the first snakes I bred 17 years ago and I produce some every year. They're easy to breed and easy to raise and just a lot of fun all around. If you haven't bred corns before, I strongly recommend giving it a try.

Re: Question to any cornone who breed cornsnake
That does seem like a great breeding group. Yet you have to answer this for yourself. When I sold my lavenders my buddy thought I was nuts as they had already produced twice. However, in my market there are TONS of corn breeders so the comptition is heavier then for my House Snakes, etc.
So I would one consider your market. Will you be able to sell the corns in Tailand, I must admit I have no idea.
Second, what resources and time do you have, if the other animals will be easier to sell, make you more money and you only have the resources to do one of the other selling the group may be a good idea.
Really it is up to you and about what your market for the offspring is and how much time and resources you have to dedicate. If you do sell them make sure you get a fair market price. Friends are cool and all but when it comes to business, I try to treat everyone the same.
