    My hairless and her babies..

We lost one a couple days ago.. i came home and she was just gone, im pretty sure mommy cleaned up after she died. We still have four babies alive, they have been with us one week today. Two boys and Two girls, they weigh 10 & 11g and mommy while young is 187g and gaining herself. shes really calmed down and has become a nice little rat. She is having a problem lactating but still producing some as babies are still suckling her and drinking less from the dropper each day. I still hand feed them three times a day and it gives me a chance to really hold mommy and each of the babies. I now know taking them home was the right thing to do and im glad for it. I have lots of pictures of them (and the rest of the crew) on my website.. here are the babies most recent group pic.

I'm sorry for your loss. The pics are cute I wish they stayed that small. I've was told by breeder whom I purchased my hairless mouse that both hairless rats a hairless mice females produce very little milk. But my friend that breeds hairless rats tells me the different, he gives his females dog milkbone biscuits to help with the milk. Well, love the pics and can't wait to see them grow.
