Heating Question About RBI Plastics Cage

I recently ordered a 36x12x12 RBI Plastics cage and I am just know getting around to actually setting it up. I hooked the thermostat up and set it to 93 so the floor on the warm side stays around 90. The ambient temp in the rest of the cage is not much above the room temp of 73-75. I added a flor. light to the interior cage thinking it may heat up the ambient temp a few degrees during the day. It helped but the highest I have seen is 76-77.

What can I do to try to hit the 79-80 mark? I was thinking about adding a piece of flexwatt to the back of the cage?

I love the cage and I am going to order more. I just need to get them warmer.

Try the flexwatt on the back of the cage, that should work. If not a more expensive solution would be a radiant heat panel.

Personally I'd email the manufacturer for suggestions, they know their cages best. Make sure an include all relevant data as far as temps you are trying to achieve, temps of the room this enclosure is in, depth of substrate, type of substrate and current method of heating and monitoring that heat. Since they built the cage, they may well have some suggestions to achieve your goals in the best possible manner.
