I have a friend who is in India studying and he emailed me some photos of the local herp life and thought I would share them here. Sadly, it seems reptiles are not well liked there and he says that he frequently sees smashed snakes and lizards on the side of the road

good pics! i had read about indians having a very distinct hate for snakes but i can't remember exactly what the reason was. i wanna say it was to do with their religion but not sure.... sad...


india is on my top five list of places i wanna go before i die! very fascinating country!
