    Blood?

I just pulled my girls bowl out to change the water, and when I was rinsing it out there was this pinkish slime in it....what is that? How worried should I be?

Hard to tell by that description alone... perhaps a regurgitated food item or maybe even bloody pus from the snake's mouth. You may want to consider a visit to a qualified reptile vet.

    Re: Blood?

    Hi,

Just asking for some info for the wiser heads to read.

Had she poo'd in the waterbowl at all or in the cage near it?

    Has she just shed?

Has she shown any signs of R.I. like wiping her face on cage furniture, holding her head up at unusual angles or making sounds when she breaths at rest?

How long has it been since you changed the water/washed the bowl? (not accusing you of dirty waterbowls - just trying to get a timeline on how long it might have been there).

Has she shown any signs of being "out of sorts" recently or anything - how does she eat?

Have you changed anything in the setup lately or in the cleaning products you use?

Most of the answers won't mean much but they might enable people to rule something in or out that might help.

    **edit**
And of course Rapture nailed the most important thing which I completely forgot.

If in any doubt an examination by a good herp vet is the best course of action.

    **end edit**

    Re: Blood?

    Ok, well....

I just recently completely revamped and removed her from her home, and placed her into a new unit I purchased from boaphile. She's been acting a bit odd by spending a lot of time outside her hides, and usually not balled up...so I reinserted her old ones back in the other night. Other than that she's been fine, a bit more jumpy than normal but I figured that was expected because she's in a completely unfamilar tank, andwe've been leaving her be as much as possible.

When I got home tonight she was in her hide on the cold side, she had pooped right behind the water bowl, and she greated me in a rather normal fashion. Temps are awesome, otherwise I dont' know what to say....
