Just bought a new girl!!!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my news... today, I purchased a little DH Ghost baby girl! Got a great deal one her, and I, personally, think she's a little beauty. Here's some pics:




I've decided to name her Morgaine. She will be Gwydion's girlfriend... in a few years I put a down payment on Gwydion (a DH Ghost male) a couple weeks ago:




This is a HUGE step towards my dream of making my own Ghost boas (and, someday, a Moonglow, hopefull). I really want to make some light, light ghosts, so I'll be messing with light babies, adding some pastels in here and there---of course, these are all long-term plans.

For those of you not up on Boa genetics, breeding these two together will produce normals, hypos, anerys, and ghosts! Whoot! So excited!

This little girl will be heading to Mike and Jo's before she comes to me... I need to get into my own apartment and get things set-up, and Jo has agreed to help me out. So, she'll be receiving her early education at Camp Hiss~n~Slither. Jo, tell her she better keep her eyes off Sev... I know he's a good looking older man, but she's already betrothed Thanks sooo much to you and Mike!

I can barely sit still... work is going to be torture today! Thanks for looking all!

You're very welcome Lynn. Mike and I are thrilled to be able to help you out with this little darling.

Her baby tub is all set up and waiting and the note is out for the FedEx guy (I'm far, far too anal to depend on anyone ringing my doorbell). I'll phone you as soon as she's here and I've checked her over. Of course I'll post some pics in this thread and get you a current weight and length (new snake mom's MUST have this stuff LOL). I just assigned her a Degei ID number so when she comes home to you, her records will come with her.

Perfect timing really. Deigo the male 05 BCI is heading back home to his owner later today so Camp didn't have any members right now. I love the names you've picked for them....very nice!

Well I know Lynn's at work (already let her know by voicemail that Morgaine is here safely) but hopefully she'll get a chance to sneek in here for a peek. Her lovely snake arrived on time and in perfect condition. Really nice packing job by the breeder. She's had a quick check over, a few pictures taken and is now tucked in her nice warm home. Saw her go and have a drink and she's now doing the typical inquisitive boa thing, hanging out on top of her hide and surveying her new world. A really sweet little hatchling!






Thanks again Lynn for entrusting this precious little one to our care. Congrats to Lynn on a really lovely purchase! She'll make you some beautiful babies one day when she's paired with that lovely male you are getting.

We just broke the meeting for lunch. I was listening to my voicemail before I was out the door, lol!


She looks great, Jo! You said she was a little thing... she was born on 6/24 of this year, so she's still only a couple months old. According to the breeder, her last meal was a mouse hopper on 8/17 (and she will take either live or f/t).

Glad to hear she's going great!!! Really am, wish I could've been the one to get her today, but I'm so glad she someplace safe and warm to go to.

Thanks to you and Mike, again, for helping me out with this... and tell Mike I'm sending an OSU flag to hang outside her enclosure And I'm sure I'll be bugging you quite a bit in the coming days...

Oh I'm so glad you got the voicemail message Lynn! She's little but lovely and seems appropriately girthed for her length (boas being built differently than BP's). I've already done a basic health check on her and she's looking very good (clean eyes, clean vent, good skin condition, no stuck shed, able to right herself immediately, able to grasp strongly, no audible breath sounds...all that good stuff).

She is too cute....immediately climbed high in her tub, had a nice long drink and moved from one hide roof to the other across the small baby tub. She seems relaxed and not moving nervously, just checking things out and tongue flicking naturally.

Oh I have to run quick and tell Morgaine all about how to hiss "GO BLUE" lol. You know as soon as she's bigger Mike is going to have her out to watch football! Mike's convinced all boas like sports! LOL

You phone, AIM me, email me or PM me as much as you want Lynn honey. This is after all your baby snake and I know I'd want to know every detail if it was me, so never think you're a bother. We'll have to start another Camp Hiss ~n~ Slither thread for you like we did for Becky LOL.
