we also weighed the rats (jo and others have been helping me with them) and today i was contacted about adopting two new girls from a family who couldnt keep them anymore.. they are even sweeter than the girls we already had! (hard to believe)

my goodness the two new girls are HUGE, way over fed and over weight.. they are sweet hearts though. i have lots of pictures of them too which ill add. i have contacted martin cages as well as talked to my hubby and were goign to get the ferret condo with barn top (66"x30"x24") its gonna be huge!!! i have to wait a week before we can buy it thanks to our truck payment but its at least a huge move up.. the 7 of them couldnt fit in the cage we have and they have to be quarentined (or at least seperated) for that long anyway. i wonder how long shipping will take, assuming the cage isnt on back order ((hmm)) anyway.. the two new girls were being kept in this TINY "my pets first home" actually kinda sad.. they are soo fat. the mom said they were under a year old but didnt know for sure, are they more ideal breeding weights, or are they too fat lol. were not doign any breeding right now but would like to eventually and with the HUGE cage we could even add to our family if we wanted to.. according to cage calculator we can house up to 11 rats in that cage.. although i wouldnt want to get that many!!!
