    Some questions on types of BP

    Ok, as I mentioned in a couple of my threads I posted today I am new to the Ball Python ownership ring. But i see alot of you guys talkign about the different types like Hep, Pied, bees, spider, pastel, etc. What are all these meanings. I am not even sure what mine is. i want to just say he's normal. is there any reference I can look at or information you can tell me to help me understand what these all are? thanks

    These are names that are given to colored morphs. Here's a pretty nice sized list of some different ball pythons.

    edit: keep in mind that these aren't different species. They are all ball pythons, they just have different color patterns that make up their uniqueness.

    There are different genetics that make all this possible...Dominant, Co-dominant, and Recessive. It can be confusing at first...but this is certainly one of the most helpful guides I've found: http://ballpythons.ca/genetics.html
