    red spots... blood?

So I came home from work just a little bit, and saw my packages of flexwatt and probe sets and etc. Checked on the snakes, and found that my pastel had shed in one piece which was what I expected tonight.

Strangely enough, there was 4 little tiny red spots. Some bigger than others, that I think is blood. I checked his body for any signs and saw nothing. Looked at his vent, and saw it was a little red. Maybe it came out of his vent while shedding?

Anyone experience any of this stuff? He was popped about 3-4 days ago, and pee'd in the process. Could he have had any internal bleeding that day. What I'm most concerned about his his fertility. I hope the little guy is fine.

    Thanks.

EDIT: I forgot the mention, these red spots were on the substrate, which is paper towels.

    Thanks
