    Just got my first Redtail...

Hi everyone Yesterday I bought my first redtail boa. I'm excited about it, and have to get a few more things for her enclosure to have it set up just right. I do have a question, Right now I have her in a 40 Gal Long and I know that she needs bigger. I like useing the glass as I don't have the room in my house for the gray things you see in the pet shops. Is there some where that I can get a bigger (longer) tank? I'm working on posting pictures of this girl, just for some reason the gallery will not upload the pics. So I'm hoping that I will have them up soon. I can tell you this just seeing her move around in the tank now she is at least 60" plus. Going off her moving around the encloure and knowing it's measurements. Any way I got her because I loved her color and size plus they had too many and had a good sale, (I paid less then a $100).

Sorry I can't offer much advice on the boa...i'm not experienced in that realm.

As for the pics, You may need to resize them. If you don't have Photoshop, Try Gimp

Ok finally got it to work. Here she is. Can anyone help me with what this coloration is called. I know about them but never really (until now) had learned the color names.

    Thanks,

She looks like a very clean normal, maybe a pastel.

I would recommend getting a tub for her as she continues to grow. It'll hold humidty much better than a tank.

If you really want a bigger tank, check out Craigslist. Or you could spend a pretty penny at Pet Supplies Plus. I know they carry very large tanks, but they're expensive. If you do decide to keep her in a tank, you're going to need larger hides... kitty litter pans are good, with holes cut out of them.

Re: Just got my first Redtail...

The cup was great for the Pinkies that I use to feed my First BP. I have not used it since as I live right up the street from a pet shop that sells really good feeders and they will kill it for me and it's like 2 secs home and I feed it right away. PM me and I could sell it to you for a very reduced rate.
