    Juvinile BP

I got my BP about 2 months ago at my local pet store on the cage it said Juvinile BP. So I was woundering how will I figure out how old she is. I'd tell you how long and how big around she is BUT, she is in the process of shedding, her eyes just started turning blue and I dont want to handle her unless I have to. If I took her to the vet would they be able to tell me her approx age? Or can any 1 here help me out with her Approx age.

They can guess, but not much more than that. 6-9 months prob. Also most of they time weight is a better indicator with balls.

When I got my BP I look over it to make sure it was healthy looking and was the snake for me. But I've noticed something that I didn't notice b4. The claws on its rear end. Do they not have them when they are younger?

those claws are the remains of there hind legs before evolution. There actually the bone. Old world snakes like BPs have them.

Those are spurs, and all ball pythons have them.

It's going to be impossible for anyone to tell you how old they are. But let's just assume that your pet store got their snakes from a distributor, which means that it most likely is a captive hatched baby. Many of the captive hatched babies imported were hatched in the early spring. So I'd say ~ 6 months old.

I found that the spurs can be really light in color, and pretty small, so that maybe why you cant see them right now
