Re: My 9 Month Old BP + Tank Set Up

Thanks a lot for the comments so far guys, it's a great BP (my first snake ever) and he's as sweet as can be I can take him out whenever and he'll never be aggressive towards me or friends, but when it comes to going after his live feed, he wreaks havoc. I got him at PetSmart and he has come out to be more than I expected!

The only thing I see is that those hides aren't ideal. They're open on both sides. BPs need to feel secure with identical hides on the hot and the cool side. I use small plastic bowls with an entrance drilled into them. You should consider getting something snugger and more enclosed for hides.

The one on the cool side only has one opening, but I'm going to get a new hide that is identical for the other side as you said.

i would also get a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer and hydrometer. those analog dial types ones are garbage. they can be up to 10˚ off, and that could be fatal to your snake.

other then that and the hides... things are looking good.
