Do you slit your eggs/ If so, when..?
Basically my question. I can see them moving around in there but we are on day 52-53 now. I am definately not doing anything yet, but am shooting around to see if anyone does slit their eggs, or not. Thanks in advance

I used to cut, but not anymore. In my opinion, there's no need ... they come out when they're ready.
That said, for special clutches or when I have visitors at the shop that want to learn how to cut, I will cut ... but not until at least one of the babies in the clutch has slit an egg on it's own.
Hope this helps.

I don't usually cut the eggs.
On the rare occasions when I do, its usually after the first one sticks its nose out, and I've never cut before day 54.

Re: Do you slit your eggs/ If so, when..?
I decided to cut mine because I couldn't wait any longer to see what I had. (It's my first clutch and I am impatient)
I did so on day 55 and 2 days later they are all still in their eggs under the sack thing.
I've been opening the lids to let air in about twice a day and trying to leave them alone as much as possible so they come out but nothing yet.
I have checked and they are all still alive and moving so hopefully they'll come out soon.
They have all very distinctive black pattern but none of them look like normals. I can't imagine they'd still be developing pigment at this late so I may very well have a full clutch of pastels. All 7 babies look the same with no brown that I can see.
