    Reptile Basics: My Experience

About two weeks ago, I began toying with the idea of getting a rack to house my growing collection of ball pythons. I browsed and researched them all...Boaphile, Animal Plastics, Herp Enclosures, RBI, even DIY! It seemed RBI had a loyal fan base amongst the BP community so I began to email Rich at RBI and set things in motion. Fast forward 30+ emails and 6 days later, I've got my Helix wired up to my brand new 4x32qt RBI rack. Here are some notes...

-Rich is very honest and accomodating. I had mentioned that I was looking for a white rack. Although not offered on the site, Rich offered to go out of his way and get me a white rack if it was what I wanted. TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE! (I eventually changed my mind to black).

-The CC on my Paypal account expired a few days before the transaction began so I was forced to use Paypal's eCheck feature. No problem, except it takes 4-5 days to clear. It turns out Rich shipped the rack the MOMENT THE CHECK CLEARED, not the next day, etc. Amazing!

-The packaging was incredible. I swear I could have dropped the thing down a flight of stairs and it would emerge unharmed. The only problem is that I now have enough stryofoam peanuts to package a car!

-The quality of the rack is amazing. It sits level, drawers slide in and out with ease, and the prewired Flexwatt was much appreciated on my end! I'll definetly have more RBI racks in my stable in the coming months!

That's about it. If you're in the market for a rack, look no further than RBI. You won't be disappointed. I apologize for the lack of pics, but its late and I'm test running the rack for a day or two to make sure temps are kosher. I'll post some tomorrow with its first inhabitants.

    Re: Reptile Basics: My Experience

We have one of Rich's racks and it was our first rack. I love it! Basically no fuss, no muss, plug and play. The thing holds heat and humidity perfectly, the snakes immediately settled into their new digs without a skip in any feedings and with the rack being black, we don't even offer hides anymore and none of the snakes seem to care (the ones that do, simply go under a layer of paper and seem quite fine with that). I love his use of Iris tubs, you can't find any tubs easier to clean as far as I'm concerned. The tubs slide beautifully in the rack and the little white pins included help me keep track of who is eating and who is finished on feeding night.

    Great job Rich!

Congrats on the new rack, I now have 3 from Rich and couldn't agree more w/ what you said. He is great to work with, I was having some cc problems, they thought it was stolen and shut it down, gave him a call because I thought I was doing something wrong on his site, helped me through it and got everything fixed and the rack was shipped very fast.
Can't go wrong with one of his racks, thats is for sure.

Thumbs way up to Reptile Basics.

I ordered a bunch of flexwatt wired and set up with different plugs on Friday. UPS just delivered it. Fast shipping and exactly what I ordered.
I will definitely be a repeat customer.

He was great at getting back to my inquiries quickly and was very courteous as well...

Too bad they don't ship to Canada though

I have ordered maybe 5 times there, and it is the only plce I go for flexwatt and really any supplies. His prices are very competetive, and shipping is very fast, my longest wait was like 3 days, and that was over the weekend.
