So when I clean house, I put on my MP3 player and sing. I'm told I sing loudly....doesn't seem like it to me
I'm also told I'm very pitchy. Ok yeah, I can't sing. But I love doing it, anyway.

Everyone in Dallas knows that the American Idol tryouts are coming here soon, and I've made a few jokes about going, haha. Yeah.

So I'm happily singing and cleaning and dancing and having a grand time. I take out my earbuds to talk to my darling teenager about something. Then she says "You know mom, you really should try out for American Idol."
I got a nice, warm, happy feeling. Wow, have I improved that much? "Oh yeah???" *SMILE*
"Yeah, that would be the funniest thing I've ever seen!"
POW! OOOOOOUCH!!!!!

So maybe I should try out. Wouldn't becoming the next William Hung be the perfect revenge on a girl who has to show her face in high school???

and people that have that thought is what makes them millions of dollars a year...70%+ only watch the first few shows that they have. reason being the people that think they can sing and CANT...i know i cant but would never go up there

Yeah, Nick, I've always been in that 70% tryouts only....this last season was the first time I've watched it all the way through.

Oh good lord.... I've got tears in my eyes from laughing over here. I think you should do it! It would serve her right. Oh and make sure to dedicate your performance to HER!!!

(I'm totally in the same boat! I love to sing, but I can't carry a tune in a bucket Although in my defense, I usually try and refrain in front of other people or I warn them )
