Anyone have any experience with feng shui?

I have been having horrible stomach problems lately (several consecutive days) and usually when that happens its due to stress. So I thought I'd de-clutter the house and get my feng shui in order. I have a beautiful layout planned for the living room that I will work on tomorrow. The problem is my bedroom. The layout of doors and windows make things impossible. I've done up a few rough and not-quite-to-scale-but-close-enough-to-work-with pictures on paint. I really need suggestions.

This is the layout of the empty room:

These are the items I will be working with:

I also have a huge dresser with two very large mirrors built in, but my boyfriend hates it so I think we'll be getting rid of it. It's cumbersome and doesnt match ANYTHING but it was my mom's and a beautiful antique design so I've been holding onto it as long as I could...

Anyway, please help. I'd like to be able to do this tomorrow on my day off. Thanks guys.

P.S. - sorry the outlines are so vague. I only had paint to work with...

I would suggest putting the bed much as you have it now if you were to lay those two pictures on top of eachother and view them as a single picture.

Are you putting a TV in your bedroom? That's a big Feng-Shui no-no, but of course you can modify things however you like. As for the desk, again, computers are not supposed to live in the bedroom. I would ditch everything but the bed in favor of a nice dresser and some nightstands, perhaps a plant or two.

Electronics, except for lighting and temperature controls, are not allowed in my bedrooms I try to have a timer-light for an alarm clock, just so i can avoid anything else that might need to be plugged in.

    LOL whadaya mean! Sushi rocks!

Seriously though I used to have stomach problems and used Psyllium for internal cleaning of the digestive tract. Dr.'s wanted me to take all kinds of ulcer medications but after drinking down that stuff with lots of water it all went away. It's totally natural, no drugs, no side effects. Also I think meditation would be much more helpful for stress than feng shui. I have had my own business for years and it wasn't until I started practicing meditation that I was able to remove ALL the stress from my life and better health followed. Best of Luck

yup. i practice feng shui as well and your bed can not go in the coffin position which is when the foot of your bed points at the door. also it's not good to have anything angled in your room (dresser, bed etc)

so i'd put your bed in the upper left corner along the wall with the window.

I wouldn't put a bed in a corner. It creates a huge space under the bed that is inaccessible and likely to accumulate clutter and dust. If you keep the side of the bed just a couple of feet away from the wall, with the headboard against the wall, the dust won;t have anywhere to hide

(also, you'll be able to fit a nightstand there)

    Like this:

Wall | Small Space | Nightstand | Small Space | Bed

Basically, you want good airflow to all the little corners, but without compromising your ability to feel reasonably secure ( you would never want the head of the bed to be away from a wall, for example, unless you were using a much lower platform style bed)

Get an arowana, I have one, but I don't know much about feng shui, but reading here has me wondering. My bed is set up in the "coffin" position, I think I will be moving it tonight.

Pepto Bismal and a new snake.

    That'll cure anything.
