How big is the snake? A baby will feel more secure in a small cage. An adult will need more floor space. Neither needs height in their cage. Most of mine are in cages that are only about 6 or 8 inches high.

    Re: tank

bp's like floor space rather then height. so on it's side would probably be good, but it sounds alittle big for a bp. a hatchling will do wonderful in a 6 qt shoebox tub. a 10 gallon tank works good too but make sure to have alot hides and "stuff" in the tank so they can feel secure. an adult can live in a 30 gallon tank, but that is probably the largest, anything larger and you might have problems.

I just re-read my post, and realized that what I said and what I meant weren't quite the same. What I MEANT to say is an adult will need more floor space compared to a hatchling.

    Sorry if that wasn't clear!
