    What should my next purchase be?

    ::Copy and paste title::

    What should it be? I currently own an 07 Lemon pastel and am interested in another moprh. I'd like to get another morph that can work well with my Pastel. I was thinking a female spider that I have seen. It is a nice high white one that is in my affordable range. I'd be able to make bees which has been my dream to do the day I saw one. What do you guys think? What are my other affordable choices within the $500 range?

    Thanks for the click,
    Tony

    Re: What should my next purchase be?

    Oh geez, I have such a hard time with questions like this. The answer, from me, is always "What do YOU want???" Not because I'm too lazy to list alternatives...but because, to my way of thinking, if a person isn't crazy enough about the animal to know exactly what they want, then maybe they shouldn't be buying it?

    I know folks who have lost literally tens of thousands of dollars buying up this morph or that because others suggested it and it looked "cool" at the moment....then they wanted to go a different direction and their racks were full...or they had fallen into that debt hole I mentioned in another thread....either way, they're selling off snakes for a fraction of what they paid for them....etc etc...

    I realize you're not talking about that sort of scale...but whether you're spending $10,000, $500, or $50....these are living, breathing animals who deserve your whole hearted ownership. Don't buy based on what others say is best. Figure out what you're most passionate about and are sure you want to stick with for the long haul. And if that particular animal costs more than the $500 you've allotted for yourself, then don't buy one now....wait and save your money.

    Ok....I'll step off the now and leave it under the table in case anyone else wants to use it.

    Seems like your goal is Bee's, so a female spider is a good idea. However, just because you have $500 to spend doesnt mean you'll get a high quality spider *High white sides usually go for a bit more* But there are TONS of choice's in your price range. My personal favorite being the Mojave's.

    I'm in the same boat as you and am taking the suggested course. Like you, I fell in love with bee's the moment I saw one in person. I'm picking up my Pastel male next week and plan on get a Spider at the White Plains show September 9th. In a year or two I should be able to produce my own spiders.

    This is the high white that I would be getting. It was 500 shipped from someone who has 0.3 of them, but I worked it down to 450 shipped with a payment plan, just because I wanted to try a new payment method.

    **** That reminds me, in payment plans, in a GENERAL rule of "thumb", when do the sellers usually ship the snakes off? After the first payment? or after the final payment is made?

    What do people usually do, and what to look out for as well.

    After the last payment is made. At least, that's how 8ball does it...

    after payment is made...get receipts that you paid and they recieved...and make sure your doing it with someone you can trust....also that payment plan is awesome, but after the first payment you will just want it now so the sooner you pay the better you will feel and the sooner you will get your new snake.

    Cool spider by the way! I would say get it.
