    Anyone seen anything like this?

My male took a nice dump in his hide last night, left me a good size log and a urate. So he comes out of the hide and is crawling around the tank when he started acting really funny. He would open his mouth really wide like he was yawning then he would make a sound that sounded a lot like a belch, then he would lunge forward and would spray liquid crap all over. He got the back wall of the tank and some of the plants, then he did it again. Mouth open, lung forward, spray out the back. He only did it twice, so I took him out and got the tank all cleaned up and put in fresh bedding for him, but has anyone seen anything like this?

I've heard that with a snake that had a RI before (not mine). Spraying over the enclosure doesn't sound like a good thing. If it were mine, I'd be taking it to the vet.

he doesn't show any other signs of RI, nothing in his mouth, not a single sound from his mouth, eats just fine, Nate described it pretty well, I would say I would keep an eye on him but I am constantly checking my snakes and their enclosures so it would be tough for me to keep a closer eye on him....its just....odd.

I watched a video on one forum here about RIs and that snake on the video did exactly what you are describing. I think they called it a sneeze. You said your snake isn't exhibiting any signs of an RI. Well that's one of them, but don't take my word for, I'm not an expert, get that snake to a vet.

I've never seen that behavior although some members here have witness sharting. But - mine does become very active right after a big dump.

The big wide yawn suggests an overproduction of mucous but why that would correspond to playing Powdered Toast Man I don't know.
