Gonna need a little more info before we can be much help. Can you describe his enclosure setup? Glass tank? Plastic tub? How big? How are you heating it? How are you measuring temps and what are the temps? What's the humidity in the tank? What are you using as substrate? What about hides? How big/old is the snake? How big were the mice the previous owner was feeding?

If you'll provide this info, we can make suggestions on adjustments that might get your snake going. If he's only gone three weeks without food, its really not panic time yet. They can easily go for several months without food.

What size tank, and what type of hides? Are the hides snug enough that they touch him on all sides when he's in them? How often do you handle him and for how long each handling session?

What are you using to measure your temps?

It sounds like you just purchased this snake?? True?

If so, don't start handling him. He needed to be left alone, in the proper husbandry, for at least a week after you brought him home before you even tried to feed him. I know the petstore worker probably didn't tell you that, but it doesn't suprise me and it's okay.

the temps seem good, but rabernet has some good questions that will help us help you further

Unless where you are it is night time your BP should be in is hides right now if he is not this mean he does not feel secure.

Hides should be dark tight (all sides touching his body, sides and top) and identicals (Avoig log hides)

    How big is your BP?

20 gallons is probably overwhelming if your BP is an 07 try to downgrade the enclosure size.
Your temps should be 80-84 on the cool side and 90-94 on the warm side, humidity should be 50%-60% and measured with a digital thermometer/hygrometer.

Do you use a digital device to measure your temps and humidity?

Know that the more precise your will be with your description the better we can narrow it down.

Do not try to handle him or switch him to F/T until he eats successfully for you

Re: 3 weeks with no food

If the owner said they were feeding live chances are thats what they will prefer to eat. You can go to live to frozen but it takes time, versus frozen to live which I think is supposed to be a lot easier. And seeing as how you just got em and its only been three weeks just give it some time. When I got my girl she didnt eat for a few weeks, then she shed and took a mouse as soon as I plopped it in with her. Just keep em with the right temps, humidity, and feeling "secure".
