    Proper weight?

Does anyone know what the weight of a full grown female corn snake should be. Now that I've upped Zim's prey size, she's gaining more weight and is near 90g. Back in March, she was only 50g. So she's gained quite a bit since then, but I was wondering how much she is going to weigh when she is full grown. So far, I haven't found the answer to that question.

Well to be honest with ya i never ever kept track of the females i had .In my opinion as long as the female is at least 2yrs old and has a nice girth to her(at least rounder then a black marker) then its ok to breed her.

The general rule to breeding females are the "Three 3's". 3ft/300g/and 3 years old. But the 3 years is somewhat flexible. It's more important (I think) to be at least 3 ft long and have healthy muscle tone. Some corns will weigh 300g but are "chubby" and probably shouldn't be bred. But I agree that one should wait until at least 2 yrs old.

As for weight of a full grown female corn; it can vary wildly. I have one who never topped over 325g and another who stays right about 675g; both are full grown adults and their weights are appropriate for their size. So yeah, that question has a zillion answers, it just depends.

I don't know how old Zim is. I got her in December and she was a little bigger than the other young corns they had. She was about 16inches long at a guess. On fuzzies when I got her. Now she's much larger. On hoppers. Wish I had a length on her but she never sits still long enough for me to do that.

    Here you go: http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/measure.html

It's an app that lets you get a measurement of your snake. All you do is take a picture of your snake with something of a known length in the picture for comparison. Then you plot points along your snake and it then uses the known length to cmpare against your plotted length to give you the lentgh of your snake.

    Re: Proper weight?

Weight is a fickle thing with corns. We try so hard to ask what the average length is for our snakes, the average weight, how often they shed etc.
But they're just like people they all grow at different rates
0.1 Charcoal Corn, Nagini||0.0.1 King Intergrade, Ekans|| 1.0 Leopard Gecko, Havok||1.0 Pastel Mot Corn, Solstice
    1.1 birds,1.1 Bettas, 0.0.5 Community fish and Inverts,1.0 Rat, 1.1 Hamster.
