Soap soaking to get off mites!!

Does it matter what kind of soap I use to soak them in soap water and how long should I soak them in the soap water for?

the soap is basically use just to break the surface tension and make it so the mites can drown. a few drops of any dish soap should suffice, and about 30 mins ought to do it, or until he starts stressing out.

once again... PAM is Provent-A-Mite (for anyone who reads this thread and thinks you are talking about cooking spray)
