My Girl's First Shed With Me Has Started

After 5 weeks with me and finally eating 11 days ago, my girl is in shed. I know she's been through it before but I haven't. I hadn't touched her since Mondays so I took her out this evening and she seemed different. So I took her to a more lit area and noticed the eyes: They are grey. And looking at the skin it is dull. So I put her back in her cage realizing she's in shed.

So, to make sure this goes well, is 58-60% humidity gonna be fine or do I need to raise it? Anything else I need to do for her or just leave her alone and wait?

I found this to be an excellent source of information, and subsequently produced a healthy first shed.

Oh I read it but there's no mention of any special husbandry needs there.

I would bump up the humidity some...typically 60-70% is ideal when they are in shed.

    Hi,

Raise the humidity to around 60%-70% to help him shed. If there are any problems just ask.
