    T is acting wierd???

Hi, My chilean rosehair is doing something wierd. She has he spinneret about a cm off the ground and is rubbing her spinneret with her back leg. It looks like she is scratching her butt. She is also rubbing her opisthosoma with her back leg and is moving her fangs from side to side. She also put one or two of her legs to her fangs everyonce in a while she has been doing this for 10 mins while I have been watching her and has probaby been doing it longer? Does anyone know what she is doing? Could she be getting ready to molt. I have had her for almosta year and she hasn't molted. She is full grown and hasn't been eating recently. I figured it was because she is going to molt soon.

Don't worry. She is grooming herself. Sit back and enjoy the show, it can be very interesting to watch.
    Is she your first/only spider?

Oh yes, tarantulas are very clean animals. They will generally groom themselves after eating or drinking.... or playing in the dirt.
