    FREE to GOOD home!

I'm looking for a GOOD home for my bull snake. I made a career move back to Indiana, and am currently staying with my parents until I get myself back on my feet and find a decent place to live.

In any case, I have discussed a few things with my parents (who, by the way, do NOT like snakes) and we have come to a compromise. Neither of my parents likes the little bull snake at all (my father had a bad experience with a wild one when he was younger). He's too small and moves too fast for their liking. So, they told me that, if I find a home for the bull snake, I can keep Kinkers in the house (instead of out in the shed with very little temperature control).

So, here's the deal: I'm offering Tristan up as free to a good home. I'm willing to ship... though you'll have to cover that (it'll run 30 or 40). I can deliver to Indianapolis, southeastern Indiana, Cincinnati or Columbus, Ohio.

I really want this guy to go to someone who knows what they're getting into with a bull snake. He was nippy when I first got him---and still hisses and rattles his tail now and again---but has calmed considerably with the proper handling. He will probably hiss and rattle when you receive him because he will be scared. This is really not a snake for first timers!

So, yes, he's free... but I will require you know what you're getting into. I'll want you to show me that you have prior snake experience.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Here's a pic (it's a little old, and he's a little bigger:

I'm currently keeping him in a twenty gallon long with a water bowl and a half log for hides. No problems feeding; he hits a hopper mouse a week with gusto!
    Thanks for looking!

    Re: FREE to GOOD home!

    Hey all,
I've gotten a very, VERY generous offer from Sean (lord jackal). He lives just north of where I work in Indy and he said he would be willing to foster Tristan until I get a place of my own. Which means Tris is staying with me! Yay! Thank you SO much, Sean! The little guy may have a 'tude, but I love him, all the same.
