dog show disaster!
I got up this morning to get ready for the show. My new borzoi had to be bathed twice. I had let him out to potty and found him covered from head to toe in blood. No injuries on him but found just the foot of a lrge rabbit in the yard. So off for another bath and I got dressed for the show. So far everything else is good. I'm feeling good, dog is looking great! Looks like a big win is in our sights today!! YEAH!
About 2 min. till ring time and apparently the rabbit he ate a few hrs. earlier was not agreeing with him.
He was moving around the ring so slow that you would swear he was ready to drop from old age. We had to continue since the judge had already started her exams. The whole time around the ring he kept wrapping his head around my legs. I guess he was trying to slow me down.
DEFEATED! AURGH!! Funny though, as soon as we got home he was feeling great. Out looking for another bun!

Re: dog show disaster!
Well hon he's just like any male....belly full and wanted to lay in front of the TV for a few hours LOL. Too bad about the show and the bunny mess but they are a hunting breed right...sight hound if my memory serves.

Re: dog show disaster!
Yeah, he's a sighthound. We have had 3 shows, he's good enough to have won all three. Instead he picks a new stunt every time out to mess up. He does great during training, then like a small child will pick the worst possible time to act up. "It's time to embarass mom, what can I do this time?" The pup is the wildest one I have had in a good 10 yrs. When I feel like I have everything under control, he has started a whole new game! I'm glad my boys are grown, I'm too old for all this!

I had to look them up...I couldn't rememeber what they were. After I saw what they looked like, remembered some pics you put up of him a while back. He's a good looking boy!! But it is "good looking boy" haha If he let things happen like they were supposed to, and didn't cause any problems, well, he just wouldn't be living up to his manhood then. Good luck with him!! ^_^

Yeah, it doesn't sound like a disaster unless you realize it takes hours to do a groom job for showing. I will kill his lil butt if he causes me that much work again.
