I saw a story the other day that may or may not be this same story...ex marine felt a pick pocket going into his stuff and went off on the guy and beat the tar out of him...well "subdued" him anyway. The last thing I heard was the THEIF's lawyer was trying to press charges against the victim! He was trying to get the victim to say that he didn't feel his life was threatend which would lead to excessive force or assult. It makes me sick the way people turn things around like this...I say we go back to the days where you simply got the hand removed that you where stealing with!

I thought the funniest part was in the interview when they asked him was there ever a moment when you thought what was I doing and he said I just didn't want to go home and get in trouble with my wife for him taking my money!

It is ridiculous isn't it Heath. Years ago my oldest brother who is a grocery store manager was working a night shift (not his usual shift). He sees some creep grabbing at one of the female cashiers demanding money from her. Of course, my brother being my brother doesn't call the cops first LOL...he goes up, grabs the creep and drops him with one very well placed punch (all those years of Canadian hockey sure came in handy LOL). Then he calls the cops and they haul off the bad guy. Imagine my brother's surprise when this wanna-be thief has my brother charged with assault! Thankfully the judge refused to let the case proceed, told the idiot he was in enough trouble already and it never went any further but personally it should never have seen a courtroom or wasted a judge's time.
