Does any one own a frill lizard?
i don't really remember the actual name but it's an Australian lizard that frills out the skin under it's neck. and it runs around on 2 feet instead of 4. i think it's just called the frill necked lizard but unsure. i don't know if they are illegal or anything, just curious since they seem so interesting. so does anyone own one?

Re: Does any one own a frill lizard?
so what actually was your quesion?... do people own them? yes, they do. You had no idea what lizard you were asking about and I think he answered that part of your question, and no they're not illegal, and if you did google it, you'd find them for sale, and find pics of them in cages.
so yes, people have them, no I do not have any, I don't have the room for very large cages.

Re: Does any one own a frill lizard?
i guess i really didn't state the question good enough.... i was just wondering if anyone on this forum owns them. it took some looking up, then i found out they were better known as frilled dragons, not lizards. when i meant i didn't know the name i was referring to the scientific name, which i didn't know. i only knew them as a common name. i found caresheets on them, but was just wondering if anyone owned any.

Re: Does any one own a frill lizard?
Frilled dragons are a somewhat common 'pet' lizard. However, the majority of those available are from southern New Guinea and not Australia. New Guinea frilled dragons generally cost between $125 to $200 depending on appearance and origin. Australian frilled dragons are relatively rare because of the strict exportation laws of Austrailia. Frilled dragons with Austrailian origins can cost between $1200 and $1500 each.
If you would like to get a frilled, I would suggest checking out the classifieds at kingsnake.com. There are generally New Guinea type available at any given time and Austrailians pop up every now and then. Ben Siegel has some NG frilleds available now and I believe Sundial Reptiles is the spot to get quality Austrialians.
And to answer your question......No. I do not own a frilled, but some Austrilians are on my 'to own when I get more room' list

did you look to see if there were threads on them? I posted pics of my frilled last week and the thread is only like two below this one...? Did you have questions about them? Thanks.
