A few new mouths to feed; baby trout!

We caught a bunch of trout fry today. They were in a dry creekbed that will probably be dried up by tomorrow, in a little pocket of water roughly a foot square. We also rescued some crayfish moms with babies; moved them to a deeper part of the creek. This is the driest year we have seen here since 2003.
They would have died, so we decided to take them in and see what happens. I have never kept native fish species; I had a bass for awhile but it died; I was just a kid at the time. I have them in a coldwater tank.

Then there's this guy; not sure what he is yet. Snakehead? Round Goby?

I believe the first lot to be shiners or minnows, not trout. Different shape and patterns.

The second little guy is a Johnny Darter. We find them a lot turning over rocks in the creek. They sit immobile until the last second, then zip away.

Wow I can't believe you have anything dry there. right now the water here is 10 feet over flood stage and both roads out of my neighborhood are underwater. Sweet pets though! I love fish.

Thanks, Jess.. I actually thought that they were minnows; but according to Mark.. they were trout. I really think that they are more minnowy; the trout I looked up online were all spotted, not striped.
Thanks for IDing my other little guy! We have seen them around and never knew what they were. Weird bigger body and little squished-in face..
I have a third oddball to post; I will get a pic of it. I think that it is actually a round goby; a nonnative species.
Wow.. I have been talking to debtors through work from different areas.. there is a lot of flooding going on. And go figure; we in NY are having a minor drought. My friend can't even do all of her loads of laundry because their spring is running dry!
