    shoot me now..

    ..arrrrrghhh!
I just noticed a flea on my pillow.
I admit, I have not treated Inky with any Advantage since, well.. last summer.. Now my lack of prevention is worth a pound of poopy.
I hate this!! I guess it could be worse.. my friend has a tick outbreak at her farm. I am not going within 10 mines of her..!

eeeewwww..... that is one problem i've never had! well, almost never. we took nevaeh to a friends house not knowing it was crawling with fleas. so nevaeh had a bath a couple days later and that was the end of that! we've been pretty lucky i guess!

    Re: shoot me now..

The feline Advantage should be here monday-tuesday. I used it last time; we had a pretty bad case of fleas, and honestly, within a week or so I was not seeing any, after using it. It kills the fleas on the cat within hours; I guess then it kills any that bite the cat and they eventually clear up, nto to get tooo detailed..
I am glad that it is something we can fix! But I hate fleas! I know just how the blasted things get on him; there's a stray farm cat that runs around and goes up to a certain door we have that has a 1-inch gap between the door and floor.. Inky is always looking out there. I am glad that he is up-to-date on his other vaccinations.
I only got one bite overnight; it was not a flea! Had to be a spider.. flea bites on me are tiny specks.. this thing is about baseball sized! My reaction to spider bites..

Good to hear you got your topical treatment ordered. Fleas are pretty bad this year down south, as our "winter" season didn't seem to stop the flea cycle at all... I now use Frontline Plus and if I see any fleas on any of the pets, Capstar is good for killing all live fleas on the animal extremely quickly.

Any prefered caliber? or location to be shot at? Could be very important info right there...

Sorry about the fleas, they can be a real pain to deal with, especially if they've already laid eggs.

Yeah, I've been having some major issues with fleas on my dog. I did give her Capstar last week and it did help. Best of look with the fleas!

    lol..
But I am not one of those people who tolerate fleas. I really wish I could PAMite my whole bedroom, house, etc. But I don't use substrate and well, I don't want to die.. and the can is not big enough.
The Advantage has a great record with me, and my neighbor.

    Re: shoot me now..

Is laundering all of my bedding going to kill the flea eggs/larvae that could be in it? Or will it just produce clean larva? lol.. I am putting everything through the antibacterial setting on the dryer too..
They say to vacuum the whole house.. OK.. we have all hard floors and I sweep daily and mop weekly. The only vacuum we own is a Shop-Vac; I could see me skating around the house with that thing, sucking the cloth off of the furniture!

Yea, I imagine the wash should do a fair job at removing any embedded eggs/larva. I know it's sad you can't (or atleast shouldn't) PAM your house, however a fun alternative would be to remove the furniture and Pledge your floor (assuming you have hardwood/tile floor), and then going skating. Fun, but would accomplish little (aside from having a sparkling clean floor)!

Now that I think about it... My snakes get better lifes then I do. They don't do a darn thing, yet are provided with ample food, maid service, terminator service, A/C via reliable t-stat, and a entertaining 24/7 "reality TV show" on a widescreen glass viv screen. Lucky snakes.... Makes me want to go fill my house full of aspen. LOL

    btw, awesome avatar.
