Shedding/feces question
I got my baby ball python last week, from a friend of a friend, and he said she was in shed. I have read the shedding process and know it can take about 10 days...but yesterday I looked into the cage...and in the corner there were 2 colors of "logs" lol...so I'm guess poop and pee? The first was brown, and the second a whitish color...when I scooped them out, the brown was very hard and wouldn't give, and the white broke a little when I picked it up...needless to say, the cage smelled horrible.
I know I'm not supposed to feed the snake until she sheds, but the hide I provided is a kleenex box, and I can't see thru it...would it be okay to take it out to see if the shed is in there?

yea it'll be ok to remove the hide and see if its in there. LOL and if your snake will eat in shed then you can feed in shed. I have several that eat in shed. I love it keeps them on a better schedule.
hope this helped

Yep! Snake "pee" is called a urate, and is white and chalky once it is dry. A fresh urate will be the consistency of a thick paste. If your snake just eliminated, and really was in a shed cycle, it is likely that she already shed.

Nothing like the smell of fresh snake poop! I find it to be a distinct odor...
