    Question Growin' on me...

Saturday was 2-weeks since my friend and I rescued a 4 month old Pitbull.

The poor things ribs and hip bones were sticking out, I mean really

protruding. As I said, I have had him for a couple weeks and now you can't

    even see his ribs.

He is such a good dog now and have been working with him religously, I

think I might keep him. The dog I have now was 13 in April, this is his last

summer before I have to put him down (super severe arthuritis). I know he

could never fill my dogs paws, but he just might work out. I was really hopin'

my next dog, if I should decide to raise another, would be a Rottie. I had

adopted a Pit (brindle) a couple of months ago, she was incourgable, I

found her a new home. But this one is calm, cool, collective.

Little thief has stolen my heart already though, what would you do?

    Follow your heart.

I'm sorry to hear about your older dog. It's the pits when you have to make that tough decision . .. but you are right to think ahead and determine when he is suffering too much.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

So where are the pics? And good luck with the new kid. Has your older one taught him the ropes yet? ***Always make messes right before company comes, Only cry while she's trying to sleep, Tear up SOMETHING! etc. ***

We are gong thru that stage right now and the "puppy" is 18 mo. old.

worst decision in the world, i only have a daughter, he is the son i never

had. right now it is borderline on selfishness. but i do want to keep him

around to show the new pup the ropes, too. i pity anyone who has to do

    this...

no dog could ever fill his paws. but i live in the boonies and am paralyzed i

need protection. i have no enimies, but the way the world is

today...crazy...its good to have a dog around... even if he is a big baby,

they are itimidating, to say the least.

and thats all you need, just enough to inject a little fear into people. my

shepherd isn't viscious, but big enough to intimidate people. if they only

knew. lol! he is just loyal, loving, great! hard desicion. he has good days &

    bad days.

this new pup isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but i work w/ him daily. he

could be alot worse. believe me. the only problem w/ with him is when he

slips hiscollar, he's a runner. i am getting a harness for him tomarrow, that

    should eleviate that problem.

he came back today full of grease or something. hope it comes off, damb it.

w/ my shepherd, he never took off like this one does, but the research i did

warned me of that. they are a terrier, which are hyper. as far as chewing, i

leave more than enough chewey's and toys laying around, he has no

reason to chew anything else. so far, so good! knock wood. good lookin' dog

though, even my mom thinks so, and she is hard to please (snooty). she met

him 2 weeks ago. she should see him now! you can't even see his ribs. i did

    him justice.

i just started create traing nim 3 days ago, he does great, not a peep out of

him! probly gonna keep him, the sucker that i am...ha h ha. get u pic's soon.....
