    when and how to increase humidity?

    I was wondering when should u increase it for shedding? and how do u know when its the right to do it? right now mines at 53-55%. thanks.

    I bump mine up when I notice the belly turning pink, so pretty much at the first time I notice she's goin into shed. What you can do is put a larger water dish in, or cover some of the vent holes to trap more humidity in the tub/tank.

    I start when they go blue (their eyes get cloudy) and mist their tub once a day till they shed.

    same. If it's a snake that's had trouble shedding before, i also give them one or two long soaks the week of the shed.

    That's probably why they have trouble shedding. Soaking them beforehand can lead to bad sheds(leeches the fluid out of their skin and makes it more difficult to shed). The only time you should soak is if the snake has a bad shed and skin is remaining, or if the snake is dehydrated.
