new snake = problem
a month ago or less talking about getting a columbian, and i finally got it, but i have a question, on one of her eyes she has like a black spot. on one side she has a slit which is normal and on the other side she has a big black spot. it appears blue in the sun im not sure what to think..could she be ready to shed?

Re: new snake = problem
Do you have a picture of it? I'm trying to picture it right now but can't. Maybe she has a stuck eye cap from a previous shed?

Re: new snake = problem
I second Allison, it is probably a portion of a stuck eye cap. I would wait until her next shed and then if it's still there immediately visit a vet for a check-up.
However pics would be a plus!

My boa has a large dark coloration in his eye as well, which I think is from the coloration of this head because it follows the same pattern.

Could you perhaps post two pictures. One of each eye close up and clear.
